Robert Clark Spencer – 63

I was so very sad to hear about Bob’s passing.  I have meet bob numerous times at the Clemmons Family Reunion and he was a wonderful person.  I sat and talked with him at length this past July and he was looking forward to hosting the reunion in 2012.


Robert Clark Spencer, age 63, of Burns, TN, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Horizon Medical Center as the result of an accident which happened at his place of business.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Dickson with Dr. James Chatham officiating.  Visitation will be 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening and 9:00 to 11:00 A. M. Wednesday at the Church.  Mid-South Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on July 30, 1948 in Darby, PA, son of the late  Clark and Leona McCarty Spencer.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force where he was an Aircraft Electrician.  He also was owner of Imperial Auto Sales and Salvage and a member of First Baptist Church of Dickson.

He is survived by his wife, Mari Louise Clemmons Spencer; son, Shawn (Tammy) Spencer; daughters, Dani Keisha (Charleston) Howard of Pearland, TX, Jamie Rose of St. Cloud, FL; brothers, John Keller, Joe Liikala of FL; sisters, Linda of FL, Valerie of GA; grandchildren, David Musselwhite, Justin Howard, Brenna Howard, Angela Howard, Candace Howard, Camille Howard, Brandon Howard, Alexis Spencer, Aaron Spencer; great-grandchildren, Gavin Musselwhite, Elijah Musselwhite, Sophie Musselwhite, Mason Howard and Bryce Howard.

Pallbearers will be Damon Hassel, Jason Ingram, Jon-Roy Sloan, Tim Litton, Charleston Howard, David Musselwhite.  Alternate Pallbearers will be Dave Smith and Larry Batson.  Honorary Pallbearers will be members of First Baptist Security Team, Southern Street Cruisers Car Club and the Odds and Ends Sunday School Class.
