Mary Elizabeth Clemons was known as Lizzie. She and my grandfather were brother/sister–my grandfather was William Harris Clemons (went by Harris). Do you live in the Waco area and do you know any of the Allisons in the area? My father (Wendell H. (Shorty) Clemons) was a cousin and great friend of Spenser Allison and some of my family are in some contact with Spenser’s children and maybe grand children. Sorry, These were the Cliftons, not Clemmons. But we are related through Obediah Merritt (1790 – 1863) who was married to Priscilla Clemmons (1790 – 1860) daughter of Samuel T. Climmons (1751 – 1837) and Martha Coggins (1756 – 1800)

Roy Smith was my father, he was very much aware of his Clemmons relationship. I just wish I would have taken notes, he knew an abundant amount of information. I was out at Wilson cemetery in Mount Vernon, IL a few weeks ago and took photos of all the Clemmons, Smith, Scott, Merritt, Karch, and Ford headstones I could find. These were the names and dates I found there.

I am the great grand-daughter of Syble Estelle Allsion Ercanbrack. Her mother was Mary Clemmons and father John Allison. I have recently been given old family pictures and would like to know if you can share with me who might be in them. It is a picture of John Allison, Mary and 12 children one of which is my great-grandmother Syble. I also have another picture of Mary and John with three children and an older woman in the pictures. One of the children in the pic is also my great-grandmother. It was taken at Blair Photography in Gatesville, Texas. Looking forward to hearing from you.
